    MAC adress for FS-4000DN

    Hey,
I have an FS-4000DN, which has lost its MAC address after flashing. It takes the address 00-00-00-00-00-00 instead of 00-C0-EE-68-54-AA. How can I do to recover?

Have you printed off a Service Status page since the Firmware Upgrade? Be sure to check and see if the page count is the same as it was before flashing... We've seen that if you lose the MAC address, the page count gets screwed as well...

The copy count is ok, but no serial number.
So how can I do to rewrite them?

I haven't experienced this personally, but I think you'll need to call the hotline. They'll jump onto the customers network and make the desired changes. Maybe PreScribe commands? I don't know, but it's done remotely. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Upgrade the firmware to the most recent version. In the firmware Zip-file is a utility which you can use to restore the MAC-adress. Run this utlilty after the firmware upgrade. I don't recall the name of this utility but it's somewhere is the Zip-file.

Kaborwen, Have you resolved this issue? I'm interested in what you found, if anything.
