Maybe not. I had an XS736DE recently that had a broken scanner belt. I changed out the belt. In the process of accessing the scanner I unplugged the scanner assy from the Scanner DME Board. When I reconnected it, it came to ready. When an original was placed in the DF The pickup motor would make a buzzing noise, but never rotated enough to pick up an original. Then it would code out 843.00 or 842.00 The DF motor would reverse to lift the pickup roller, but never turn forward to pick up paper.
When I had reconnected the cables I had not secured the cable from the scanner DME board to the DF board. I came back with the scanner DME board, but as I was pulling connectors I noticed that one of them came out too easily. I re-seated those connectors and never did install the board. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
