Question CS410, no yellow after replace image unit

I replaced the image unit on this CS410dn. Now, no yellow on the paper. I found the gear or cog that drives the yellow developer laying behind image transfer unit (aka belt). It looks like there is barely anything holding it on in the first place. I tried to reseat it, reaching through the opening with the image unit removed. Now I get the yellow, but it's making a terrible noise. It probably won't last, but shouldn't be left like that anyway.

Can I just pop that gear/cog back on? Or, do I need to remove the drive unit and or replace the drive unit?

Anybody have this happen? What did you do?

    Thanks

Have seen this on the CX410 (MFP version). Would have needed a new main gear assembly. The repaired was declined.

My customer has approved this repair. I'm surprised.
