mx 811

I have an mx 811 and when the tray is empty it won t stop trying to lift just hammers away
if you put 1 page of paper it will lift and stop changed tray with another machine no difference
changed pick up roller assm no difference
blew out and cleaned flag switch no difference
any ideas?

I was waiting for the solution. I guess you tested the tray sensors. Did you find the paper empty sensor defective?
