Does anyone know how to reset the nv ram of the MS 610?
I'm a konicaminolta technician and we have more than 20 years of experience but now I have to maintain a Bizhub 4700p that are the same as the lexmark ms610 and we have no experience with this printer model.
We need to reset the nv ram of this machine to erase the total counters.
Somebody made it?
In Lexmark , not only one board Backups adjustments and counters....if you change controller board (only could be a new one) other boards restore all the information in the new board.
If you want a 0 counter.......Buy a New one!
But there is no way to reset a controller board to change it from one machine to another?
EUREKA” I have already gotten it, the truth is that it was simple you just have to turn off the printer when you are doing the firmware load and then turn it on by pressing 7-8-2 (recovery mode) to start firmware.
How does "bricking" a printer, then loading the firmware in Recovery Mode clear counters? I'm confused.
Did you really clear the counters or just the supplies usage information?
I know Lexmark would not be so simple as to leave such an easy loophole to reset all counters. Even other manufacturers need more than a simple reboot to reset counters. Specialist knowledge etc required for that sort of stuff.
