Does anyone know how to get a services manual or just how to get in service mode....I'm having a problem setup scan to email.

You don't need to purchase a Service manual for that.
Just take a look to your owner (user) manuals.
or you can check the lexmark site to download free user documentation.

go to the lexmark website,find the x940e and click on downloads.download the scan to network program and then run it.you then need to go on the copiers webpage click on config,embedded soloutions,then install the snf.fls file from the program you downloaded.once done highlight the box to start the program running.you should now be able to setup the scan to email

Actually the above is correct for scan to folder, scan to email is supported natively on the device, simply enter the smtp server info and you are good to go. As always it is highly recommended to also setup a reply address and a subject so that the scans don't get caught up in security software.
