    lexmark T-642

    Have a problem with major toner dumping after performing pm, Have tried another set of charge and transfer rollers, new cartridge, and hv pcb. Problem occurs after about 15 pages.Thanks for replys

    Looks like a bad contact between the cartridge and the machine. Maybe you should check for bend/broken/bad contact points.

    Checked contacts and connectors nothing bent and also changed out main pcb, Thanks for replys.

    rechecked connectors, reinstalled pcb's reinstalled all charge and transfer rollers still have the problem. Any other tips. Thanks

    When you open the main door, is it leaking on the left side?

    This sounds like a HVPS issue. You need to check you PCR cable connection. I would change the PCR assembly attached to the top cover it connects directly into the HVPS. Also look for a bent contact. Sounds like a real mystery one.

    If that does not work there's always the printhead, lol. I would not recommend replacing the printhead. You cannot use a used one and once you put it in it writes the serial number to it and it can only be associated with that machine. It is not worth changing unless you are sure it resolves an issue.

    There are a lot of really bad Lexmark cartridges that just dump toner. Are you SURE its not a bad cartridge?

    Also, update the Lexmark firmware, there are some HVPS issues in the early ones.
