    Lexmark C935 connected via USB

    Hi all,

Lately I have several C935 printers that are all connected via USB – and in the PC displays this message: “usb device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port

The printer is connected directly to the PC without any HUB, and we also tried to connect it to several other PC’s but the message follows the printer.

The only solution we have found is replacing the System board. Does anybody have any other solution?

    Many thanks for your advices,

    Shmulik.

Might be a difference in the USB level. This computerized fossil I'm using right now only has USB version one installed, and sometimes when I try to connect a USB version two device to it I get messages like that.

i have tried it in several PC's - some are very modern - but still this message remains.

maybe there is some kind of a special chip on the RIP board for the usb entrance that genrates voltage too high for the PC?
