    Exclamation X364DN 4 PSU dead in 3days.

    Hi Guys.

i have got 4 PSU dead in 2 days. (4 different machines, in different customers, in different places)
Does anybody know about some issue on it?
We are in Sicily, I know hot weather (about 40° celsius outside) should be the cause, but Air Conditioning was invented few years ago!...

    Any clue about this.

    Thanks.

It looks like you should probably get surge suppressors or line conditioners for the machines there. But that's just my take.
Oh, and while the weather is an easy target for this sort of thing and is usually the right way to go, you might also want to consider construction or other things that disturb the output from the local power utility,

It might not be the PSU but overload.
Just over a month ago, a client asked me to check why his A3 colour laser printer worked 1 day and not working the next day (does not power up at all as if the PSU is dead). He was using a power board (10A) with a computer, an A4 printer and other devices connected. All the devices turned on, could draw 10A or close to 10A. In this case, there is not enough power to start the A3 Printer up when all the other devices were turned on. I did not want to turned off the other devices, just in case there is a fault with the power board. I just moved the printer to another power point and the printer started up.
Also check the power cable, noticed that some are marked 7.5A and some 10A.
