    100.01 Error Code Fix

    Lexmark 100.01 Error Fix
This applies to the Lexmark C782 and any model that uses the 40X0343 ITU.
If you get a 100.01 error when installing a new ITU you can probably fix it by adjusting the tracking cam on the ITU.

    1. Remove the ITU and look inside the printer to see if it has a tracking adjustment shim installed. The shim could be on either the front or the rear. If it has a shim installed remove it and re-run the tracking test to see if it passes. If it fails or didn’t have a shim proceed to step 2.
    2. Remove the ITU and rotate it so that you are looking at the side that faces the rear of the printer. You will see an adjustment cam and two locking screws. (see photos) Lexmark C782 ITU Tracking Adjust.jpg
    3. Loosen the locking screws 1/4 turn or so (just enough so the metal block moves when the cam is adjusted).Lexmark ITU Tracking Cam.jpg
    4. Now adjust the cam. If the belt is tracking too far to the REAR of the printer turn the cam COUNTER CLOCKWISE one or two ticks to move it toward the front.
If the belt has been tracking too far FORWARD then turn the cam CLOCKWISE one or two ticks.
    5. Tighten the locking screws, reinstall the ITU and run the belt tracking utility. Run the tracking utility twice (it may fail the first time because the belt position is changing). If it fails the second time remove the ITU to see if further adjustment is needed.
    6. Follow the above steps until the belt tracks properly (i.e. it passes the tracking test).

    Re: 100.01 Error Code Fix

This is good to know. Thanks cscce. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
