i dont have a manual on this machine but i was servicing it on the side for a customer and since it looks almost like a konica minolta di I figured i would try... Can any one lead me in the rite direction as how to initalize the developer? I found some " * 11 " mode to go into but i messed up the devleoper already and now this one is coming out of my pocket!!

I looked through the manual, and I didn't see any service mode for initialization - doesn't mean there isn't one, I just didn't see it; perhaps it is a self initialization?

If it is like the DI 351 all you have to do is replace the pico fuse in the imaging unit.
Precision roller part # is M9970 $5.00 retail.
Remove the connector where it plugs into machine and solder new fuse in place.
I have gotten away with twisting it on the old fuse connectors.
Turn on the machine and it will initialize itself.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Thumbs up Re: Mfx 2830 developer initialization

it auto sets developer when you install the new drum unit assy. for rebuilt, replace the pico fuse, use the right developer (konica 7118, oce/imagistics666-6 and so on) do not use mfx-2850 (too much developer. when the copier detect the new fuse it starts the developer cycle and about 1/2 way thru it blows the fuse. and by the way just cut the legs on the fuse and drop solder the new fuse in place. i buy my fuses at a local fuse company and it cost about a $1.00 per fuse.0

    Re: Mfx 2830 developer initialization

No dev / drum counter/reset on this model. The intent is to replace the complete image unit which will reset the indication (via whatever reset mechanism the image unit contains be it pico fuse or whatever. When reset it'll do it's own init. No service setup req.

    Regards!
