Long time reader, first time hello.

Being a member for 358 days, without anything being posted.

I've been a Copier/Printer/Wideformat tech for about two years. My favorite brand to work on would be Sharp, Brother, and Xerox (Workcentre's) and along with Ricoh/Lanier/Savin models.
I hate working on Panasonic, and especially KONICA MINOLTA.

Old school HP printers are awesome, but the new ones suck as hell. They really need to fix that darn solenoid sponge, and replace with a velvet or something. Too many PCL print problems too.

Other brands I really don't care about, but no problem with would be Canon (with those sponges causing jams EVERYWHERE, you'd think the engineers are from HP huh?), Kyocera, Lexmark, OCE and Toshiba.

The industry is... actually a lot of fun. I enjoy what I do. 3-4 service calls a day, 3-4 hours of work, 6-7 hours of driving a day. Ha! Anyways. I finally remember my password. Thought I'd say hello.
Any Sharp guys here? Whats up with the Little Giant fusers huh? That pressure detect system is an expensive pain.

Lurking just isn't all it's cracked up to be.

    Welcome! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
