Dislikes: I've been running digital duplicators for years now and have recently switched over to production printers, not sure if this was a good idea. I perform most of the service on the equipment I use and have enjoyed getting up to speed on the workings of Ricoh's printers. I am currently using a Ricoh Pro 1357ex and have just recently taken delivery of a Ricoh Pro c900s to do color pages when needed. I have had a few service techs come out and fix some issues, they have all been great and most of them encourage me to continue doing as much as possible on the machines myself. I always purchase service manuals whenever I get a machine and can work my way through most of the issues these machines have.
That being said...I am currently working on a problem with the c900 that is not as easy. It's giving me a sc400. I thought that if I change out all of the developer that might help but the last service tech said that he would go back in and clean up the sensors before changing developer. I have already wiped down the glass that the sensors "look" through and I have gotten a few other codes in the 400-414 range. Not sure what to do next except just keep digging deeper and cleaning up everything as I go. The machine was sitting for at least a year, I'm guessing. The previous owner purchased it used and never set it up because it was too big for his area. This is one reason why I think that I should go ahead and change out all of the developer and toner.

P.S. if I'm not using this forum correctly go ahead and give me an ear-full...I can take it, I'm old.
