Hello fellow copier fixers.
First id like to say thank you to all who give great advice and fixes. As we all know communication is key to a successful service team.
Most of the technicians on here have probably forgotten more about copiers than I will ever know!
Once upon a time i was a key operator running machines and doing finishing work. After 5 years of 8 to 12 hour shifts and watching the sun come up from behind my trusty kodak 2085, I decided to put myself on the track to becoming a service technician.
So long story short, I made it happen and spent 9 years working for a RICOH family group independant dealer. I learned alot and truly enjoyed working on machines.
Got laid off....bummer.
Worked at two retail giants, did alot of manual labor and applied for every company needing a technician for two years. Some of them i applied to 3 and 4 times. Did lots of interviews, including my first working interview for which I
didnt get paid or get the job....another bummer.
Yesterday after 2 years of trying my hardest to get back into the field it happened...hooray!!!!!.
Im back and super excited and greatful to come back to my chosen career. Thats right i chose to this work and set my career path to be a copier service technician.
Thank you for reading my long introduction.
