Hi there,
Im a trained as visual artist but also in hand(i)work . Worked with Riso's in various places. After internships, graduations, workings and freelancing I mainly electronics teaching now (radio amateur here). Recently wanted to print some flyers and was stupefied by the glossy/shiny black ink that was almost iridescent and general slowness of high-end laser copiers i had access to.
After several flashback to artschool I finally decided to acquire some old Riso machines..and have been happily fiddling ever since.. I'm just short of saying its the best time of my life, but I (still) love the things. This forum helped me quiet a bit with diagnosing and fixing my dinosaurs so I'd like to join this community and contribute where I can. I'm a professional, but not in the craft of economics, therefore i'd love to put some energy in getting 'obsolete'/end-of-life/'end-of-support' stuff working again (time moves so fast!).
