    Dell 3100cn

Hello, I have a service call on a Dell 3100cn that is calling for black toner. The customer uses Dell supplies and says that she opened two toners and put them in one after the other only to have the "change black toner" persist. Has anyone seen this or have any idea how to resolve it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.. Scott

The only one I have done was the wrong toner for that machine and not locked in place. I had Dell Support walk me thru the NON DELL TONER use. Could also be a bad chip.

Thanks for the reply. My customer was wrong-lied about using Dell toners. It was the non-Dell toner setting. I appreciate your time. I should have posted that this was resolved but got busy again. Thanks. Scott
