Anybody out there know if you can reset the fuser counter. Have a customer whose Canon I take care of got the replace fuser message and machine apparently stops working. Thanks

No error code. Just replace fuser message.

Not sure about the specific model you have there, but normally OKIs reset by a short circuit that triggers the reset! there should be some electrical contacts on the fuser that do these, after the circuit the connection is melted so it can´t reset a counter anymore

a new fuser unit has a fuse in it and it blows when installed ive tried various ways to recreate the fuse with no luck

Thanks for the replies. I have not done anything else with it. I would have happily bought the manual if my customer wanted to fix it since I have no others out there. The machine is working. They had another issue preventing them from printing that had nothing to do with the printer. After finding no reset, I figured a new fuser would reset the count. If I end up on it again, I will repost a result.
