Hey all,
I'm a copier tech who's made quite a few posts on here, but I'm stumped by my inkjet printer at home.
My wife bought the type 68 cartridges for our epson nx215, and I installed the cyan which was showing empty.
It fits fine but it's not recognized because the printer is supposed to take type 69.
The store won't take it back now that it's been opened. I tried swapping over the chip from the "empty" type 69
to the new type 68, but it still shows "not recognized." Apparently it has a counter function so the chip tells the printer
it is empty even though it isn't. (I work on the Ricoh c3500's and C5000's which have a similar system, but these don't
arbitrarily shut the thing down, unlike the epson. )

So, anyway I can reset this chip on a genuine epson cartridge?
And, can I use the type 68 cartridges in my nx215?

thanks a bunch

Morgan
