riso ez220 pressure roller always elevated ans stuck

I have a riso machine which always stuck at the print drum. It turn out that the pressure roller always elevated during printing and cause machine to stop and jam. Has anyone experienced this before? How to troubleshoot this?

Timing could be out. The pressure roller must lift to clear the master clamper. Does the paper go around the drum (sticks) and does it look like the image is in the right position on the paper?

Does the air separation work in time?
