    Lexmark XC9235 / XC9245 Drum Reset

Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows how to reset the drum life on the Lexmark XC9200 range? We have a few of these out now and are having to replace the photoconductor unit (76C0PK0) even when the prints are fine. I take it it's just a case of replacing the chip on the drum but as of yet I haven't seen any available to buy online.

I realise this will probably void the warranty but as usual the boss is getting sick of ordering new units all the time. Any info would help, Thanks.

why are you replacing the drums so often? is it saying its time to replace due to the counter? replacing the drum resets the counter. as im sure you probably already know.

Once the drums hit end of life you need to change them,

You can try web onto the device before the drums reach end of life and using the ip address, turn off the drum warnings.once the warnings are turned off you need to rdboot the device..It works on the xs950 and other models. Hope this helps

    Hi,

Can anyone can confirm this warning can or can not be turned off via the device web page?
User manual states this message can be disabled?

    Hi,

that only turns off the notifications to the customer. When the drum goes end of life the machine stops. On KM machines for example you can turn the stop settings off.

I went to a XC9235 customer said machine was calling for the drum, but when I arrived no massage was on the display.

The supplies page shows the K photoconductor had an install date of the 3rd of March but so did all the other parts!? (see attached) i'm a bit confused.
