You care confusing a copier with a printer, on a printer there are no reset codes, you actually have to fix something to get it working again

This Parts & Service Manual can now be purchased for $12.77 and downloaded immediately after payment from

The early Oki color printers had the possibility to reset the supplies counters with Engine Diag Level 2. But in the later models Oki hide that option.
Maybe the fuse on the belt did not blow. If that's the case you can claim the belt.

If you replace the fuse under the belt and switch the printer off then on again, it will blow the fuse and reset the counter to zero.

I know this works because I've just done it.

Question is: What damage (if any) could I potentially do to my printer now that I will be able to use an old transfer belt for a 2nd life cycle?

    Damage? None.
It WILL however create pq issues and MAY start overtoning and cause early wear on drums.

There's a reason the machine will ask for a new belt. I'm sure you won't use the tires of your car for a second life cycle...

You are right, of course it would be foolish to use car tyres for a second life cycle, they might blow when driving on a fast road and end up killing you!

But a printer's not really the same thing is it... or is it? I *honestly* have no idea!

I use the printer, and at my bosses request have found out ways of making it run beyond it's usual capacity to save us money replacing belts/toner/etc. It's just for interoffice printing, so print quality is not too important to us. More important is running it as long as possible and as cheaply as possible!

    What is the reason?
