I am getting error code 616 that states that the Cyan, Magenta, and Black Toners are incomparable with this machine.
First, the toner cartridges installed has been working for a few months, they still have toner in them, and were not tampered with in any way before this error (later I installed other working cartridges from a different machine and same error was exhibited).
The events that lead up to this: I accessed the service mode by pressing up+down+help. I scrolled through all the settings out of curiosity (I mostly work with Konicas so I wanted to know whats up), but I took great effort to not to change anything. After doing so, I attempted to make some test prints and got an error that I am pretty sure said "fyn sns error" I wrote it down and was unable to find any reference to it--since then, I lost my notes, but a sns error appears to be a sensor error in "OKI speak"--what sensor it was--I do not know. So, I restarted the machine in normal mode. This is where the toner cartridge error appeared for the first time. I ignored it for the time being thinking the cartridge needed to be reseated or something physical (due to the slow scroll time on the screen I thought it was only the cyan at the time). Anyways I restarted it again; in service mode, I was able to print all seven test pages (and all of them outputted quite well).
I have left this alone for a few days unplugged. Getting back to it, I find the same error. The machine will not copy/print....
I am 99% sure I made no system setting change. But then again, logic dictates that I did.
Please help! I got people yelling at me with some pretty hefty threats.
I cannot find any relevant assistance in the service, maintenance and user manuals (all of them)--error code 616 is not even listed--that I can find.
Thank you,
