Are you sure that it's even attempting to feed paper from the tray? I had a call the other day in which the paper tray was set to "colored paper" media type. As a result, all of the copy and print jobs auto selected the sheet bypass. These machines do not have any paper detect mechanism for the bypass, so it just attempts to feed this imaginary paper from the bypass then shows a jam.
All I did was change the paper tray media type to "plain". =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I will check. Though Im sure the pickup mechanism is not working. The silly t-shaped plastic assembly with pick up rollers.

Lol true. I have checked which tray its trying to feed from and definitely tray 1. Still not leaving tray.
Also checked the tray settings are set to plain paper.
Dear barber782,
I have had an occurence of paper not feeding out of the tray I believe on this model. In my case the paper cassette had slop in the setting of letter, I set it one or two mm smaller, that the setting for letter. I looked in through the back of the mfp as I tried to run and internal print to see if the pick up tires were turning, before I made this adjustment. They were turning, the pick arm assy. was down and engaged, everything was in place, just no paper movement. Bad design, this was my mac gyver and it hasn't been an issue again in six plus months. Try standing the tray up in one hand, verically, with your other hand keep the short stack of paper in place, see if there is a gap behind the paper at the rear fence, if there is, that could be your problem. The other thing I think of is that the fingers on the side of the tray maybe broken off that convey the size of the paper to the mfp. Hope my experience helps you in your problem.
Cool. I will have a look and report back . Many thanks
