How to change Key Operator PWD?

This might sound like a dumb question, but how does one change the key operator password back to default on the DP-80xx series copiers? We've tried various service functions to no avail. Any ideas?

They key op pass is set inside F5 I believe (could be F6). But the default on the newer machines is 8x 0's for the 8035,45,60 and all big machines, for the smaller machines its 4x 0's.

    Vista Tech,

Any idea where in F5? I think the techs been in and around each menu to no avail. We have one customers machine in which we do not know the password (it was changed and now the IT dept doesn't know what they changed it to) and one machine in which we do know the key op password however we can't seem to get it to reset on either.

To get to the service modes you need to press Function + Original Size + 3 and hold them down. The screen will turn to a wrench with a header that says F1. You need to scroll to F5. Then go through the options and change the key op pass. But if your not a certified tech don't try and change anything else or give out this info. It WILL cause you more problems in the future because IT people think they can fix copiers and actually mess things up more then they help.

By techs I mean our copier service techs. Not their IT dept. techs.

Our technician went through all of F5 and F6 but was unable to find an option to change the password. Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

Thanks but we do have the service manual for this machine. However we still can't seem to get the code to accept 8 0's.
