Panasonic DP-8060 Slow print with PDF

I have a customer printing a 90 page PDF and it is takin 30 minutes, Any thoughts?

Sounds like a print spooler issue with their server. But if they don't have the PDF post script drivers I would recommend loading those.

Thank you for the suggestion, I found that using the GDI driver verses the PCL driver reduced the print time went from 15 minutes to 2 minutes.

If you load the PCL driver don't you need the PCL chip for it to work or it will print without the PCL chip???

You need the PCL key to Print PCL.These copiers use emulation and therefore are slower than true PCL and Postscript.It would be nice if Panasonic could use an external controller like an EFI product for true Postscript.

Panasonic does use true Postscript. But you are correct that PCL is emulated.
Setting them up for standard GDI printing will make them print faster.

Panasonic recommends using GDI drivers. Even generic will help increase speed....specially if you have a Vista machine sending the print job!

also set the dpi to 150 for black and white normally set at 600 i think! will spool and print even faster with the gdi driver which incorporates many types of uses
