1820 not feeding from bypass

i have an 1820 where the solenoid that releases the paper feed clutch is not acitivating after the first page is through, it works once than decides not to, i have to take out the duplex guide reset everything and than it happens all over again, any help would be welcomed because i am stumped, thanks.

I had several problems with 1520/1820s' bypasses. Most of them had to do with the bypass feed clutch (the spring inside the clutch was faulty).

replace the spring inside the clutch,it is faulty
