Is the DZTE000044RA a direct replacement for the DZTE000044R ? It sells for almost 70% less than the DZTE000044R so I wanted to verify.

Yes that is what we have been using and they have been working fine. I'm kind of surprised they are selling them, I understood they were replaced under warranty. Perhaps that grace period has run out.

We have also had a rash of these touchscreens gone bad on our new and used equipment the fix is too replace with a new and calibrate as the other posts had said.. No luck in pulling apart and cleaning edges were touch screen sits..Will have too replace this screen same as some other panasonic models have to check it out...hope this helped.
