    Windows 8

Anyone seen any upgrades to Windows 8 where the customer had a Panasonic printing or scanning? If so, any issues to report?

    Re: Windows 8

I have a buddy of mine who is just learning computers. He went out and bought a new laptop and printer and ,of course, he wanted me to hook it to his home network and get him up and running. When I powered it up, it was Windows 8. Seemed OK. The START button is gone from lower left corner and moved to the right side of the screen.

When I went to install the printer, an HP 1100 I think, there were no drivers for Windows 8. The computer was too new for the printer; it is usually the other way around.

We had a situation today that is similar .....
The driver for the KYO we were dealing with was within the WIN 8 ( cab files )
Try to do a WIN driver install , letting WIN pick the driver . ( Yeah ... I know ... DAG NASTY WONDOWS )

Good luck .................We may have just been lucky getting the KYO driver to work correctly .........
Some of the errors seen were ' this driver not compatible with windows '
    SORRY ....... I MEANT WONDOWS ............

Went to a Sharp install today and not a single Windows 8 driver available. We tried the Win 7 driver but without success.
