Panasonic DP-C264 Password Issue

Hi Guys,

I recently brought a DP-C264 at an auction, when I bought it home it is requesting a password when I select the copy button.

Also I can access the service mode but then are asked to enter a password...

Is there anyway to reset this machine to the default passwords?

Tried removing the battery? I think there's one in the control panel, but without looking in a manual, I cannot be sure. Power down rear power and wait 60 sec., remove battery, wait another 60......???

Turn off departmental counters. Go to the functions menu, then general settings, scroll down to the bottom to key operator mode. The settings for departmental counters is in there somewhere, I forget the exact numbers now. The default code is 0000 to enter the key operator mode.

Try 00000000 or 19660000 or 00001966

The older Panasonics used 0000, the newer ones use 0000 0000, and some that have a security kit installed use 12345678 as a password. hope this is useful.

Default password is 00000000 for key op and service mode. If service mode password has been changed, you need a new SC PCB. If you can access service mode, go to F5-42, select no. Exit service and it shouldn't ask for a code any more.
