    Do you agree?

you know we really do have a good job. we drive around and fix copiers. not a lot of stress, not stuck in an office all day, its always something different. sometimes it can be challenging but in all its a pretty good career. I have 23 years in as a service tech and I never regret doing this. how about you?

Overall, it is the kind of employment that is as challenging as you want to make it. I would get bored with a repetitive occupation.

Let's just say that this occupation is a suitable as any could be to my particular talents. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The part of this job i don't appreciate is the waste that is produced. from unpacking anything, from, machines to toner and parts. Also the retirement of these machines are mostly sent abroad. not in my backyard as the saying goes.

After 12 years the money is getting a bit better, there is a lot less experienced techs around because of that.
Stress used to be high and i am stuck in traffic a lot.

Yes it's better than most other 9 to 5 jobs i can get. Like drafting or machine minding.

It's a great job. The amazing thing is how easy 80% of the calls are. No way I'd ever watch a clock again.

    Re: Do you agree?

I was at an office for a construction site last week. I was on the floor rebuilding a bizhub fuser. They were having a dinner for the crew so all the workers commented on how complex the teardown I was doing looked. One guy said he wouldn't want my job. I replied that he wishes he had a job like mine. Stay clean all day. Remember I am comparing this to working in a steel forge plant. Ride around in a company truck, all expenses paid. See different people all the time. People are happy to see you show up. All in all, best job I ever had.
