Totally unrelated to copiers!? but I went a few years ago, ignore all the usual tourist sights we stayed in the meat packing district, in the dream downtown hotel (great night life) had breakfast every morning in the grey dog. Also take a walk along the high line, its an old railway line converted into a park, you can cover miles along it without any traffic!
Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

Rye Playland, Eisenhower Locks, St. Lawrence River, cross over into Canada and enjoy the festivities there get some canadian money as souvenirs lol
There is the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier right there in Manhattan.
pizza, pizza pizza...in brooklyn
If you like Italian food Carmines on west 44th street is a must, just off times square
Empire State Building... a DEFINITE "Must See"! The view is breathtaking!
I agree. Weirdest thing is I am terrified by heights. But when you are up on the observation deck it is an amazing view. Even looking down it was weird, no sense of panic. The cars, streets and other things are so far away they look tiny and the sense of scale is so far off that you don't have the normal sense of height. Beautiful view. Funny thing I actually worked for a company in NJ that had a sub-office in the building. So ended up going there once or twice a month to cover for techs that took a day off. Nice ride on the Path trains and the subway. There was one set of stairs that drove me nuts until I found the service elevators and could use them. Enjoy the trip and have a treat if you try one of the soft pretzels from vendor
My wife and I spent 6 days on Manhattan in Oct, and it was not nearly enough time. We saw a lot, and we look forward to our next visit. As mentioned above, the Empire State Building is a must; if you're able to spend a little extra for the VIP tickets, do so - avoid all the lines, and go right to the elevators. Photos, please.
Here's one from atop of the ESB.

Pizza, kinish (w/mustard), bagels, more pizza, then get a bagel on your way to get some chinese food, then hit a pizza place for some zeppole (Zepa-lee) for dessert.
ALSO, buy an all day metro card for each person to get around, its good on all busses and subways. You can get close to almost anywhere in the city with relative ease and it's the ultimate people watching experience. Don't be intimidated, if you ask someone for help they will get you where you want to go.
All of the 9/11 museum and Empire State Bldg are super busy, for the 9/11 museum purchase tickets in advance if you want to go, For Empire State Bldg get there early.
