Hmm some calculations are in order:-
In my area (I'm in a semi-rural area, cities esp London tend to be more expensive)
Regular Unleaded Petrol/Gasoline:- between £1.03 and £1.10 per litre
Super Unleaded:- between £1.07 and £1.23 per lire
Diesel:- between £1.07 and £1.17 per litre
Converting that to American Dollars at the current exhange rate of 1.981 bucks to the quid rounding up to the nearest cent.
Regular:- $2.04 to $2.18 per litre
Super:- $2.12 to $2.44 per litre
Diesel:- $2.12 to $2.32 per litre
Converting litres to US Gallons (multiply by 3.79) revealing the full extent of how much the British Treasury is laughing all the way to the bank at us (because most of this money is tax)
Regular:- $7.73 to $8.26 per USG
Super:- $8.04 to $9.25 per USG
Diesel:- $8.04 to $8.80 per USG

Any of you American folks coming over here on vacation and planning on hiring a car may do well to bear this in mind. The rest of mainland Europe is significantly cheaper (but still more expensive than the US) and drive on the same side of the road

The worse the dollar gets the more gas will jump higher and I don't see the dollar turning around any time in the near future.

For reg. gas the lowest is 3.13
the highest is 3.29.
Here in Montana reg gas is up to $3.24
Its looking like that $4 gasoline may be a reality this summer.

well here in California
$3.79 for gas per gallon
$4.20 for diesel
Hello all here is Mississagua Ontario Canada we're paying 1.08 a Litre for Reg and 1.25 for Premium. In Gallons that would be 4.09 for reg and 4.22 for premium i think
