Well... if you've got a have-a-chat, or nagging wife, then your uncomfortable driving problems are solved....

Thanks, and thanks to Mrs. Neomatrix too, for reminding me that as long as the driver pays attention to the road ahead a friendly spirited conversation is an awesome way to stay awake while driving. I used to think it made the drive seem to go by faster too.
An additional benefit to having someone to talk to is that they can take over driving for you if you are really that tired. That's how I learned to drive trucks with airbrakes and standard five speed transmissions that needed an occasional double clutch when I was probably in the Reserves.

    Re: Driving Tired!

Mrs. blackcat would ask me to sing on those long long driving trips. It stirs up those brain circuits trying to recall notes and lyrics. I don't know why, but she seems to like my singing ... and me staying awake while driving. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If my wife starts to sing while I'm driving I will crash the car on purpose just to stop it

Actually it has to do with a larger portion of your blood going to your stomach and intestines to help digest the food. Same thing that causes cramps when you go swimming too soon after eating.

    Re: Driving Tired!

I'll add to this with first hand experience I.e I fell asleep at the wheel.

sleept about 1h in 48h and half way through the day was alternating one eye closed to stop myself falling asleep. Didn't work & I woke up bouncing down the dual carriageway central reservation safety barrier with the side airbag deployed & a smokey cabin😳. The car was close to being written off & was less than a month old.

if you're tired STOP & rest you're not superhuman.

Yeah I know full well where you're coming from. If it wasn't so serious it could be funny....lol

For the junior drivers out there :
When every thing happens in slow motion, you know you're in some serious sh!t predicament....I've had more than my share of slow motion car experiences while others were driving....

Be a safe driver an be patient... You can only go as fast as the next guy in front of you. You can only race ahead to the next red light, when every one catches you up. When you believe you raced down the highway an beat me to the next town. Rest assured you can never race past me at the fuel/gas bowser. The 5 minutes you gained by recklessly speeding past every driver down the highway, will be lost at the first or second set of traffic lights in town. You risk yourself and families safety an I still catch you up any way.

P.S An I use to be an impatient driver , sooooo I know......

Donno why, but I've slowed down a tad.....

It might have something to do with those speeding ticket...

    Hmmm...

I accumulated 9 points at one stage, 12 points & you're supposed to receive a driving ban🤔 Long time ago when I thought I was indestructible & a bit full of myself because of a company car😔
