Hello,
How do you see the future of printers? How long do you think the card will no longer be used and will be completely replaced by digital?

Did you know that printers are digital? There's no such thing as an analog printer. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

BC I feel you're not keeping up with the times.
In the year 2090 the newest most advanced technology advertised/pushed onto the paying consumer will be analogue technology, and every person will have to pay out more money to once again change over to the new modern analogue technology.
Albeit the new analogue technology will be better than digital in some areas. Which will have people amazed at how much better analogue technology is than digital....

In the year 3090 the most advanced technology will be digital. And the paying consumer will have to change over to the modern digital era. Which will have people amazed at how much digital technology in some areas is better than analogue.
All sarcasm aside:
It still amazes me how an analogue RF (FM/FSK/QUAD) carrier signal is said to be called "digital" because the modulation carries represented compression A2D data stream. The carrier is still an analogue wave form when transmitted through the aethersphere of the earth.

The threat against printers has always been over-hyped. It's as if the typewriter would make pens and pencils obsolete.
The relationship between businesses their clients can't be customized through a thousand different apps.
The most efficient and secure way is through paperwork. That's where we come in.
Well, let's take a look at hospital medical records. A number of years hospital were supposed to go to "paper less" medical records. People thought that meant a reduction of paper used. It didn't. Before paper less medical records, even if all records might be stored on the HIS, when a patient was in the hospital, one printed copy was kept at the nursing station or in the patient room so that it was readily available to doctors, nurses or anyone else providing services to the patient. Now there is no printed copy kept anywhere. Hospital now have to provide all doctors, nurses, technicians, etc with laptops the use to look at records or print a set of records each time someone needs to go to a certain to the patients room, such as a doctor doing rounds. Once what ever that set was printed for has been completed, all update notes went to medical transcription to be either typed or scanned into the paper system. Following which it all went to be shredded. this could could repeat multiple times a day.
Well, don't know about Berlin where things might be a little different - as usual - but here in the Black-Forest are we using digital laser printers since almost 3 decades.......How do you see the future of printers? How long do you think the card will no longer be used and will be completely replaced by digital?

Printers will always be around, it wasn't that long ago that you would only see a printer in the office, now everyone has a printer at home!

Lack of reliability though, means techs have an on going job and the copier parts industry stays afloat....
Oh! not forgetting. Removing all of the unreliably copier design engineers and employing new engineers straight out of the class room. The new engineers straight out of the classroom have no hindsight experience an therefore will make the next batch of unreliable copier/printer machines ... and the above profit and loss cycle will continue.
