Surprisingly few customers figure this out:

If you make my life easy, I will go way out of my way to help you out.
If you make my life unpleasant, I won't stay that extra 15 minutes to re-check everything.

One particular customer always had a cup of my favorite black tea hot & waiting for me, a cleared off workbench, and lots of room to work. It was heaven.

Another customer invited me to a wildlife cooking contest each fall. Each employee prepared a wildlife dish (i.e. grilled venison chops), and each participant voted on their favorite dish. The winner got two addition vacation days whenever they wanted them. I had quite a difficult time deciding which dish to vote for since they were so delicious. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Last company I worked for I had a customer that would always give me a box of Belgian Truffles. I have another company now that when I go into fix their copier I get a sample bag of their products.

I really do not expect a tip, however a simple thank you will do. I have customers who don't even do that.

The only tips I get are ones like "yeah I can tell you what's wrong with it, it's jamming --everywhere--" or "i think it might be the rollers" or "watch out, that stuff can get you dirty"

eh... I guess it is the thought that counts, but their tips really aren't that helpful.

Lots of people at my place think this way : "why should i give him a tip or anything?
He will take it from me anyway...."
There is an people who will offer u everything. Iw worked at one construction company, can say its an big company but they work enough. They have containers for office .
When i finished my work worker who worked in that ofice offered me an beer!
I asked him is it prohibited? He answered me in stile of "who will know" .

At one point while we had "normal" conversation door was opened and i recognize his boss. I saw he was little bit angry. I was thinking What now...what will he say.
He say :"whats this?u drinking during work time?!Give me one and i will pretend i didn't see anything. !!

I wouldn't be allowed to accept a cash tip even if one was offered to me.
Now and then a kind soul does offer me cup of coffee though.
