I read that a few weeks ago, it was a long read but I thought it was very well done and very informative.

Thank goodness for this article. And to think that I might have voted for a presidential candidate whose torture under captivity might have been embellished or misrepresented. We need a president who was PROPERLY tortured and did not confess he was the enemy of the Cong ... oh, the horror.

Please, this is much ado about nothing. Practically the whole thread is. I don't give a crap who farted in the bathtub. What matters is what one of these two Bozos can actually do to improve things in this country.

I already voted, but even if I hadn't the only thing that would influence my decision would be a definitive indicator of the negative/positive impact of the candidates policies they claim to support. I don't care if they wear tighty-whities or boxers, or if they like to get laid, brag, or smoke cigars. People sure have a way of digressing from what really matters when it comes to politics.

Personnally Id rather know about moral lapses and personality traits. And I'll throw my vote away before I vote for an idiot.

The country already has a socialistic mindset although the means of production arent owned by the government yet. The wall street dudes shot themselves in the foot begging someone to mind their store. Welcome Obama, the free traders answer to anything goes. Good bye lassiez faire capitalism no matter who you vote for. Sometimes you get what you ask for from illterate voters and ballots cast by daffy duck. Anyway whens the last time a guy with a receding hairline got voted in?

You might want to try reading the whole thing just for chits and grins. Bein tortured was only the start. Kinda like the feeling I had sitting thru the debates.

    Halloween

Here's a good way to explain the Obama viewpoint.

It's Halloween and you and your two children have been out scaring the neighbors so your kids get sacks full of candy. They look really neat in their outfits and had a great time playing the part and folks at their doors got a kick out of them.

So you get to a corner and there's a couple kids who didn't get freesed up or go to many doors. not much candy in their sacks.

So a guy walks up, looks at your kids and says "You have too much"
He then proceeds to remove about half the candy from both your kids bags and losda up the ones who did nothing.

By the way you might have convinced your own kids to share some without all that.

    Is that what we want?

In the end, it doesn't matter what the candidates SAY they're going to do because it just ain't gonna happen - a look at their voting record (what little there is in Obama's case, and much of that he voted 'present') is much more interesting.

Sure Obama's plan MAY give me a bigger tax break, but if my employer can no longer afford to keep me, it really doesn't matter, and according to his voting record my taxes will go up along with my employer - double screwed.
