In HS worked at Dairy queen. while getting my associate degree in computer and electronics engineering, I worked in logistics at a manufacturing plant. Driving a forklift around, responsible for shipping and receiving product. After graduating I got a job working on copiers.

I joined the Navy at 17, and they trained me as an electronics tech. Out of the service in 1987, started with my present company in 1988.
Over the years, second jobs include convenience store clerk, Wal mart sporting goods, bartender, home PC repair, construction worker, golf course pro shop employee, and grocery store meat department slave.

I started out in a sister company as a goods receiving clerk for a stationery supply company, moved onto stock controller and purchasing clerk.

Moved to 2nd sister company doing the same but with office furniture which moved me onto installations as well. This ended with me having the choice of moving to the copier company of the group or being downsized.

...And so here I am 7 odd years later doing much the same as I've been doing all along but now it includes servicing / refurbing copiers, companies I.T. bod,
engineer tech support, goods receiving, stock control, goods dispatching, call control, customer tech support, copier delivery and installation, company handyman, filing clerk and I'm sure I've forgotten a few along the way...

    God I need a holiday...

Technician for tv sets and radios and so on; truck driver for the red cross; working on a scrapyard; working in a steel mill; assembled washing mashines and dishwashers; working as an electrician; repairing computers and finally come to rest as a copier tech and it tech.

Seems, that much of us have had a kinky way of live

Had the coolest job ever. I designed toys for 8 years. I did mechanisms, electronics, mock-ups and prototyping. I also souped up early production toys for commercial shoots. I still do this stuff freelance, and I design board games, but since the company I worked for closed and I live in St. Louis where there are no other major companies, I can't do it full-time. But I love all machines and electronics and I do enjoy this.
