[QUOTE=IknowOnlyNumbers;160740 It's nice to work for a company that actually values their techs and customers for a change.[/QUOTE]

Now I can see your point there. Where were you based before? Never heard of the harvested parts program, and man I hope i never do!!!

I think he was roundabout mentioning Ikon. They were bought out I heard.

And, for now, Ricoh and Ikon are operating independantly, but starting to merge some functions. It does sound like an issue with the company. I have had mixed results with ricoh tech support, but have had generally good luck. Have never been told they were too busy to talk to me, and some have been very patient. I do prefer working on Ricoh's, but if you work mostly on one brand, you become used to how things come apart and go back together and all of their little querks.

On days like today when I completed 7 calls, drove 103 miles, and have 18 more calls waiting for me tomorrow. Only then do I wonder about working for Ikon. Then I remember my 3 weeks vacation and 9 holidays.

As for Ricoh vs Canon, it's like comparing a Yugo to a Cadillac. But I guess I'll just have to learn to like Ricoh's.

LOL@ that link, now I'm kinda embarrassed I admitted to workin for them.

I remember a few years ago Canon took over some IKON accounts with some very beat up Canon machines (iR8500, iR7200 and iR2270) Because those machines were inside my territory I had to service them. The machines were replaced within 6 months but my work was cutout for me, almost everything on those machines had to be replaced. My performance rating went down and stay down for 4 months, my parts usage were astronomical and the call backs were driving me crazy until I had a chat with the contact person who told me that IKON techs told her that the more frequently they call for service the better it would be for the company.
