So I get sent an hours drive, to a billable call today. When I arrive, it's a very large apartment complex, and the receptionist says the copier has been mothballed for a year or so, and wants it checked out, cleaned up, and wheeled into her office. No big deal. The lady shows me where it is. She opens the door, and the di2010 is butted up against a toilet. The toilet that the 35-40 maintenance guys do their business in. The bathroom, and the copier are as foul as any bus station rest room that I've ever encountered. I dry heave a bit, as someone with, let's call it a poor diet, has just finished. The copier was covered in the same stickiness as the rest of the bathroom. I simply told her that I wasn't touching it. She offered me up some rubber gloves, and Lysol. I told her that now she was just making fun of me. Good luck lady, I ain't touching that. My supervisor calls me as I'm driving on to my next call. I told him that I'm grateful that you've never asked me to scrub a toilet, but if you did ask, I'd have to decline.

Awwwww.... come on Kev..... you could have washed your hands with the Irish Spring soap on the floor when your were done!

You did the right thing..... contract or not.... that is just wrong.

I found one in a bathroom once, but it was the competitors so I left it. They were using it to stack toilet paper.

ok...you win the prize for the grossest (don't know if that's a real word) service call ever. I've been to some really crazy places, but that one takes the cake. No way I'd take that call, no matter what they paid me.
