My CAMERA is not longer detected by my LAppy

    Any insights on this one?

I've been downloading photos from my Nikon D1000, and have never encountered problems with it. Now my lappy won't detect it!

Try going into device manager and deleting the camera device. Reboot and then connect it again and see if Windows discovers it again (I'm assuming you're using Windows).
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

USBDview works awesome for printers/cameras/flash drives that go rouge. Install, right click device and uninstall. Plug device in and Windows thinks it has never been there and reinstalls....

Thanks for that df3036! Unfortunately, it detects my camera as a file folder, not as a camera??
