How far have you gone into a copier? Most awkward position you assumed?

I just had the pleasure of crawling into a Toshiba POS and wondered...How far have you ever gone into a copier? Also, what's the most awkward position you ever assumed while servicing? [the copier that is]

I had my hands, arms, head and was up to my waste in a Toshiba 310c.

I also worked on the bottom of a duplex drawer once while on my back and my one leg kept going into the air while trying to get some tight screws out.

The Canon NP-6060 duplexer was like that. You could slide out the duplex drawer, then replace the duplex rollers from below, laying on your back. And yes, when I have a had time reaching something my legs are flailing around in the air, seeking purchase.

More recently, its the ozone filters on the back cover of the CS-6030/8030. The machine weights a ton, especially with the finisher and LCT, so I avoid moving it if possible. Instead I take my little stubby #2 and worm my way in behind the machine to change the (5) ozone filters. Again, arms and legs flailing, and a face-full of gray dust. Just another day in Paradise. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

All three trays out of a Martini-C2 trying to get a piece of paper out of the back of feed station one. Right at the back. The customer came in and thought the machine had gone all Decepticon and tried to eat me.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I wouldn't service that unless the cabinet below has wheels and the machine could roll out. And let the customer know they will have heat issues from the fuser without proper ventilation.

Who's the knob that said it will fit there??

That customer wil quickly learn this is not a good idea, especially jam removal.

I would like to see them use the manual feed on the right side.

And when you tell them they need a better location, they tell you "it's the only place we have for it"
Even after you tell them all about air flow, over heating, no easy acess for service..ect
Reminds me of one we used to have, it was a SD 2260 that was in a closet in a nursing home, with the sorter, it just about went wall to wall with just a few inches to spare, had to take it out into the hall way to do any work.

How would you remove a jam? Levitation? " Hey, Houdini, help me with this jam ... " =^..^=
