    Queensland Floods

Hope all you guys and girls are safe up in QLD. Heard they just evacuated Brisbane on the radio.

Yeah, I've been listening on the radio in the car all day. AM stations have been covering this non-stop down here.

Hope you are all OK up north.

Yes we are up to our anal retentive's in voluminous H20. :|

The city of Toowoomba has taken a beating last night with a flash flood killing 10 people with 59 others missing.
Water was estimated at 60-80 km/h. Took houses and tossed cars in piles like bowling-pins.

We are starting to grow web feet up this way.....

Wazza id rather the Ashes were retained by Aus forever than whats happening up in Queensland at the moment

Having watched a lot of the videos it scared the living daylights out of this weedy pom, but showing the remarkable charcter of the Aussies

What happens when 1.5 metres of water goes through your warehouse!

There goes our entire stock of toner, about 50 trade-in copiers, about 15 new and refurbed copiers that were run up awaiting delivery and 5 brand new copies that hadn't even been taken out of their cartons yet. There was even a Ricoh MP7001 (about 20k worth) still in its box. Add to that all the finishers and LCTs and other odds and sods thats about a million bucks worth thats gone to landfill.
All that servived were 4 small printers high up on a shelf.
We spent Friday clearing out the copiers and the soggy mountain of cardboard so we could hose the mud out. On Monday we're going through the rack of spare parts bins, draining the water out of a squidgy mess and trying to read all the part numbers so we can come up with an inventory of what we've lost so we can put an claim in with the insurance company. Just hope the Boss paid the extra premium for flood insurance!

"Currently we are rescuing people, we're still making evacuate. So we can say that we are in the highlight of the emergency response phase, " said the premier of Queensland, Anna Bligh, who described Brisbane as a war zone."

    Really sorry for you guys.
