Good enough to take it apart, Smart enough to put it back together, and Clever enough to hide the spare parts.

If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

    1st answer. I'm a technician.
I won a printer equipment and need some help to maintain it.
For now I have a problem in setting up a twin system, and urgently need the service manuals for that.

    Regards.

Must remember to check all pockets for extra screws at end of day or cop grief from wife and spend Saturday stripping down washing machine to retrieve them from the pump.
Told Mrs Lagonda that she was lucky that she married a technician that was capable of repairing her washing machine and copped a 10 min tirade about how it was my fault it broke to start with and if I had a proper job she wouldn't have to spend so much time in the laundry washing grubby shirts.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

    Re: Are you a technician?

I studied software and web dev (C++ and C# mostly) but live in a small town with very few opportunities for inexperienced programmers. Sadly I'm also currently bound to live here, so I tried to find a PC tech job - ended up in printer department. There's an internship available for PC tech now, but I'm quite happy working on printers and copiers (as well as occasional scanners, franking machines, shredders, what have you

All my training has been OJT; still feel like I know nothing but my boss seems impressed with my progress... So I guess I'm a technician??
