    Dying of thirst!!

Why do customers never offer drinks? I have loads of customers and only 1 or 2 will offer a drink. I can spend hours fixing a machine and nearly drop before I end up going to the shop for a drink.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

I try to but sometimes forget. I think we should strip the machines down and then not put them back together until we get a drink.

Not a good idea - not if they want their machine working correctly afterwards.

Dunno about the UK, but most offices in the States have soda machines in a break room. Or, techs here keep coolers in their vehicles.

I have several accounts where they keep a coffee mug in the break room with my name on it. I do not expect anything from any of my customers as they are paying my salary, but when they offer I find that it is usually after a few visits to repair their equipment and we get to know eachother a little better.

Do they need to hold your hand while you pee as well? Geez man, you can't take care of getting something as easy as getting a drink on your own?
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

You're a tech. Gotta do a little RECON while you're there. I've never been shy about using the water cooler, or even helping myself to a cup of coffee if they have cups. If I see bagels or doughnuts, I'm on it. Always do a loop around a larger office. There will always be a breakroom with at least water and vending machines. No one will say anything to you filling up your water bottle, at least no one ever said anything to me. Consider yourself a temporary employee at any place you are working.
