Re: Which copier was the biggest piece of crap ever?

as for headache jams and dirty id say the minolta ep510 and 710..
did learn to treak the ac sep power supply to keep drum wraps down but
on dry days the ac might fade the lead edge....bad copies better than no copies..
the you have the 450z wth the power supply mounted under the heater unit..and badd badd solder joints..

Ricoh MPC 4502/5502 are alright machines. But the fusers with this problem with the heat sleeve that peels. Crapiest fusers ever. I had to replace sleeves where fusers were only 15% into total fuser lifetime.

Panasonic FP-C1 has to be up there. Late 1980's digital "colour" box of crap. Forget setting up colour balances coz the customer could change them to something way out then store it as default. Back you'd go again.....................................

How about the Canon NP 7550 with its cleaning roller issues? Or the dinosaur NP 5000 with its silicon roller in the fuser that had to be rejuvenated by soaking it in fuser oil? And the NP5000 was timed by microswiches behind the drum ( pre photointerrrupter days) and this was fun(?) when the switches got cracked from use.
