It's the fricken laser beam.

You forgot to remove the packing foam in the cassette. Take that out and the machine will be as light as a feather.
Its full of the shattered dreams of disillusioned techs.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.
Have you checked to make sure its not damp paper. That stuff gets silly heavy when damp.
This is an awesome thread, makes my day so much better after a 5pm lunch break.
HP = Heavy Printer, format the HD and laser beams. All funny as hell. Thanks for the laugh, much appreciated.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
God, I nearly wet my pants on that one! Canon must have the lion share.I've heard a couple of years ago the rumour that copier manufacturers are also shareholders of all the major screw manufacturers all around the world. That's why every copier/printer you see apparently has more screws than it would be necessary (say, for example, eight screws to hold a panel in place instead of just, say, three or four). That's also what makes them heavier, since a large percentage of a photocopier's weight is due to the large number of screws used to hold it together.
Maybe HP secretly stands for Harry Potter and it's all smoke and mirrors. It just feels heavy, it really isn't.
Maybe they make them heavy so **real** techs keep in shape. My question if it hurts, why lift it in the first place? Oh wait, I forgot, we're talking about aab1.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
It's the Flux Capacitors. There is one for each color, you know!
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.
"The Serenity Prayer" . . .
God grant me the serenity to accept stupid people , the courage to not waste my time and energy on them , and the wisdom to know that I cannot fix STUPID .
