Unless the President has the support of both houses of Congress then the answer is no. We've seen this the past 4 years where the Repugnicans have blocked almost every piece of legislation the President proposes. The Repugnicans do NOT have the best interests of the people in mind.

Yes it is still relevant. We sure don't want congress trying to run things by themselves.

You do know that Harry Reid has done the same thing to the other side right?

Fact Check......2008 til 2010 Dems had Both houses of congress, And the Spending got out of control and no budget was passed . 2010 republicans got control of the house and stopped a lot of the spending. Senate still controlled by democraps...and still no budget passed. Since 2006 (the last 2 years of Bush Presidency) Democraps had both houses of Congress...And the spending started going crazy then. Yes because he cooperated with Dems.

The only interests either side cares about is THEIR OWN.

Politics and religion both suck....If you don't agree with one side or the other you're a moron, or in the case of religion, an infidel and must be exteminated..

Here's my definition of democrats and republicans...

A democrat is a young person starting out in life and looking towards the government for help (money) to get by..A republican is that same person 25-30 years later that now says "those damn welfare slobs..they better not give them my money". Very few elected politcians are doing the job the we elected them for...the money/perks/retirement/medical benfits etc are so good that staying in office comes 1st, 2nd 3rd...nothing else matters...All we put in office anymore is the "lessor of two evils". Maybe "President", maybe even all political offices should be done by lottery...1 term only and the only benifts you get is a gaurrenty that your original job is waiting for you when you're out. No more 1/2 billion $ campaigns, tax payer funded conventions, lifetime secret service details, libraries, "ex-prez" offices, and so on...maybe a small stipend to say thanks for doing your job for the US, now you get to go back to being an "average Joe".
