I would say the exact same thing, except about my wife. I make a conscious effort not to criticize her faults, for that very reason.

I've never seen the movie, but I'd guess this would be a surprise ending to some who have:

    No offense taken.

I've quite often laid in bed, idly speculating on where exactly a cat was arfing up his last meal. Mostly I just hope that it's not in bed with us. Anywhere else can probably wait until the morning.

I just use my barf locator. All you have to do is take off your shoes and socks and idly wander around the house. When you feel something cold and squishy between your toes you know you're getting close, really close. When it's still warm and squishy ... well that's a special treat. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Barbara Walters did a story on gender roles in Kabul, Afghanistan, several years before the Afghan conflict.
She noted that women customarily walked five paces behind their husbands.
She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walked behind their husbands, despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime and women seemed happy to maintain the old custom.
Ms. Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, "Why do you still abide by an old custom, that you once tried so desperately to change?"
The woman looked Ms. Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, "Land mines."

    Re: The random thought thread

The tornado sirens were fired up this evening. No problems here, but I hope everybody else is doing OK.
I took some cell phone video of the actual storm from the window of my glassed in front porch. I'll see if I can upload that to youtube sometime so I can share it here if it is not stupid.
I would recommend you don't do something like this though. At least not unless similar stats apply at your place:
It is only fourteen steps from my recliner on the front porch to the basement stairwell (I just paced that off again to be sure)
When properly motivated, I can traverse that distance in well under ten seconds.
So don't be a dope. It's always embarrasing, and sometimes it stings like the dickens too.
