(There are a LOT of pictures here.)
These images are great, just getting starting - sort of like APOD (astronomy picture of the day) from NASA.

    Re: The random thought thread

Couldn't find an appropriate thread to put this in, and didn't feel like drawing attention to myself by starting a new one:

After replacing pickup, feed and separation rollers, one way clutches and torque limiter, motor and control board, I find the cause of the intermittent but damn-near constant 15-01 jam from PC-409 to be caused by the mylar guide on the inside of the tray.
I was alternately ecstatic and very angry. Mostly angry with myself for wasting so much time and money by not seeing the problem the first time. The adhesive portion of the mylar was askew ever so slightly but enough to the point where the feed assembly would attempt to feed the mylar, or it wouldn't pick up paper at all and just throw the jam due to timing.

Replaced the mylar (because it is at least two years old and in an office with higher than normal humidity 8 months out of the year) because the adhesive had failed partially and the mylar was pointing higher than it should have been. Hasn't jammed since.

Edit: this issue took four visits over a period of six weeks before I discovered the blasted mylar.

I sure know how that feels. Once you find the culprit, it seems obvious as hell, and how could I have missed it? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
