Can't I go back to giving people written instructions on a piece of paper?

    It works.
    I've always liked paper:

I can read it as many times as necessary.
I don't have to log in to see it.
I don't have to re-write it if the information isn't saved.
It doesn't cost thousands of dollars to buy and/or maintain.
It doesn't generate reams of statistics to be rubbed under my nose.

When I first started in this business the call center faxed over a list of calls that came in the previous day. We would sort the calls out, primarily based on geography, then we would leave the office with 5 slips of paper in our pockets. The next morning we would fax the calls into the main office, get 5 more, wash rinse repeat.

It worked just fine, for years. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Meet the Laundroid!

I heard that Panasonic doesn't make MFDs or printers any more, which if true is a shame as I liked the Panasonic equipment I got to work on back in the analog days.
But hey, maybe they'll do better with this.
As usual, open the link at your own peril. Also, the video at the link doesn't explain anything.

Random thought thread random thought. Technically a quote if you're a stickler.

Got the first measurable snow yesterday (5", no big deal), so I changed my avatar accordingly.
If you're driving a car or pickup that is not terribly stable in the snow, a sixty pound tube of sand or two in the back might help. Five is kind of an excess though. I tried that when I was driving my little 2WD Ranger pickup years ago. It had the non-crew cab and the extended bed (fits a standard sheet of plywood), so storage space wasn't an issue.
(The last tube of sand I cut open was full of crushed limestone.)

    Re Snow droppings:
We had a problem with the neighbourhood trees and the birds leaving little white droppings everywhere, a huge mess. The trees have now been removed which has the added blessing of causing the noisy birds to move on.

I can remember looking towards the sky where the nieghbours trees once where with sincere thankfulness and true appreciation while I meantioned something to the affect of "thank christ cows don't fly"....
